Residents have been warned to stay vigilant following an increase in burglary offences between December 31 and January 2.

Police say offenders have been throwing bricks through the windows of properties and are mainly targeting vehicles.

Crooks have so far hit properties in Drew Crescent, Pedmore; Cherry Tree Lane, Halesowen; Two Gates Lane, Cradley; Cinder Road, Lower Gornal and Wexford Close on Milking Bank.

Homes have also been targeted in Ennerdale Drive, Hayley Green; Gladstone Road, Wollaston; Cobham Road, Oldswinford and Gladstone Road, Wollaston.

Police have said a blue Ford Fiesta has been seen at a few of the locations with a possible registration of LT14 RMX.

Debbie Priest from West Midlands Police advised residents: "Please can I ask everyone to stay vigilant and if you see any suspicious behaviour or the vehicle mentioned please call us immediately and do not approach."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Live Chat, or 999 in an emergency.
