BROMSGROVE has had a royal appointment on Friday afternoon - with Princess Anne paying a "flying" visit to the town.

The Advertiser understands The Princess Royal has been visiting medical equipment manufacturing firm Kimal.

The company - described as an 'innovative and trusted manufacturer and supplier... to hospitals across the world' on its website - is based in Sherwood Road on the Aston Fields Trade Park estate.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

Princess Anne arrived in the town via the royal helicopter G-XXEB which landed on the playing fields of nearby South Bromsgrove High School.

She was heavily flanked by security although pupils at the school were able to check out the helicopter through their classroom windows.

Bromsgrove Advertiser:

An eagle-eyed member of the public sent us the above picture after the helicopter landed.

It is unknown what Princess Anne's visit entailed but the Advertiser has contacted Kimal PLC for comment and we hope to update this story through the day.
