The second phase of work to install a new crossing in Warndon is now complete.
Following work earlier this year to install bat-friendly lights on the A4440 Trotshill Way near the Warndon Wood nature reserve and to upgrade the bridleway to Worcester Technology Park, a new pedestrian crossing has been installed.
A new 40mph speed limit has also been introduced along the road between Plantation Drive and Dugdale Drive.
Councillor Andy Roberts said: “It’s great that the new crossing is in full working order and that the new 40mph speed limit along the A4440 is now in place.
“Improving connectivity around the city for pedestrians and cyclists is very important and these two new measures will help to ensure the safety of non-motorists that are using the area.”
It has been put in place to improve links between the Worcester Six Business Park, Warndon Villages and the city centre.
