Severn Trent is to begin work this week on “essential improvements” to its water network in Worcester.
The company will be working in Gillam Street during the half-term holidays, and will be replacing valves and making improvements to the water pipes.
A Severn Trent spokesman said: “By replacing valves, it means our teams can have better and easier access to the network and can move water around our pipes in times when we need to get water to our customers quickly.”
Nmcn will be carrying out work on behalf of the company, and all work is expected to be completed within the week.
“We know there’s never a good time to do this type of work, so we wanted to do it during half term so we’re causing as little disruption as possible,” the spokesman added.
“We will be having to close a section of the road... but it means our teams can complete the work quickly.”
