WYRE Forest is in the area of the lowest rated pubs for hygiene in the UK, a data investigation has found.
Out of 106 postcode locations, pubs is the DY area, which includes Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley, have been rated the worst for hygiene in the country.
Claims Direct has gathered data on over 450,000 food businesses from across the UK and created an interactive map which highlights a hygiene rating in each postcode area.
The data is broken down by business type showing the best and worst hotels, restaurants, pubs and takeaways when it comes to food hygiene.
Pubs and bars in the DY area come bottom in the country with a rating of 4.08, with the national average rating being 4.47.
The score is a reflection of how businesses comply with safety regulations such as cleanliness and how food is handled, stored and prepared.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from 0 to 5 and each score comes with a meaning.
A score of 5 means that hygiene standards are very good, where a 0 score means that urgent improvement is required.
The data was gathered from June to August 2019 from the Food Standards Agency.
