THE city of Worcester and the rest of the county will certainly look very different in 20 years time if the long-term ambitions to build tens of thousands of homes are backed.
The South Worcestershire Development Plan, the go-to document for developers looking to put up houses in Worcester, Droitwich ,Malvern, Evesham and every village in between, is currently under review and will most likely go out to the public for their say next month.
Plans to build 14,000 new homes throughout the south of the county will no doubt completely alter the look of Worcestershire.

The county needs more homes, that is for sure, but councils and councillors need to find a balance when the plans come forward and need a decision.
Worcestershire is filled with beautiful green land that does not have to be tarnished just for the sake of building more and more houses.
There is certainly a need for housing but it should not come at all costs.
It will be a difficult balance to find but it is a balance that can surely be found.
