HERE are some notable cases from Worcester Magistrates court over the last week.

AN arrest warrant has been issued for a woman who failed to appear in court to answer theft charges.

Carrie Davies, 31, of Avon Road, Kidderminster, was due to appear before magistrates charged with stealing a fragrance worth £242 from Debenhams in Worcester.

The charge alleges that on August 19, she stole the fragrance from the store.

Another arrest warrant has been issued for a man who also failed to appear in court to face theft charges.

Steven Fellows, 30, of Kelsall Croft, Birmingham, was due to appear in court on August 12 to face two counts of theft.

The first charge alleges that on August 19, Fellows stole a quantity of cosmetics and toiletries from Wilko in Droitwich worth £50.

The second charge alleges that on August 20, he stole hair products and washing machine tablets, also worth £50, from Morrison's in Droitwich.

A further warrant has been issued for Adam Fleming, who failed to attend court to face charges and attempted possession of cocaine.

The charges state that on August 20, Fleming, 38, of Crookbarrow Road, Brockhill, damaged a table belonging to the NHS as well as damaging an electronic pen pad belonging to West Mercia Police.

The third charge states that on the same day he attempted to possess a wrap of cocaine.

A man who admitted using threatening or abusive words or disorderly behaviour, earning himself a fine.

Ashley Jewsbury, 28, of Marymans Road, Evesham, appeared before magistrates in Worcester charged with threatening or abusive words or behaviour.

The charges relate to an incident on August 21 in Worcester.

Jewsbury pleaded guilty to the charges and was fined £80 in addition to a £32 victim surcharge and costs of £50.
