A CHURCH in Worcester has announced the appointment of a new pastor.
Ben Putt was formally welcomed into Woodgreen Church in Warndon Villages on Sunday, September 8.
The special service, held in the morning, saw more than 400 people inside the church.
Mr Putt will work as an assistant pastor with a view towards setting up a new church in Droitwich.

He and his family moved to Droitwich at the end of the summer holidays so that the children can start at their new schools.
The family is not new to Christian ministry or Woodgreen as for the past 11 years Mr Putt has been running Gaines Manor, a Christian Activity Centre running retreats and camps for youth groups centred on Christian teachings.
Woodgreen was set up as a meeting for railwaymen in 1885, meeting in the guardroom at Shrub Hill Station.
In 1995, the church moved to its current location in Hastings Drive.
