A CASH reward is being offered to catch the vandals who snapped trees in half in Kidderminster's Brinton Park.

Several trees were damaged some time between Friday night and Saturday morning and Wyre Forest District Council is urging anyone with information to contact the police.

A council spokesman said: "We are very saddened and disappointed by the actions of a few individuals spoiling our beautiful park for others.

"We would ask if anyone has witnessed this incident to contact the police directly on 101."

One Kidderminster dog walker is also offering a cash reward for information which leads to the vandals being brought to justice.

Jeremy Thomas told The Shuttle: "I was horrified when I saw what had happened. I take my dog for walks there often. It's shocking.

"My grandad worked on that park many years ago and I love nature. I do a lot of litter picking in the local community and things like this are happening more and more often. It breaks your heart.

"I thought by offering a reward it might encourage people to come forward and name the people who did this.

"I'll pass the names onto police and once it has been proved I will give a reward."

Jeremy is encouraging anyone with information to email jezthomas123@outlook.com.
