A MUCH loved Redditch nursery has celebrated 18 years of childcare in the town

Bright Kids Nursery in Crabbs Cross celebrated its 18th birthday by throwing a Greatest Showman-themed party, with entertainment and circus skills from Professor Pepperpot, cake, a sweet cart, soft play and party food.

The nursery, on Evesham Road, first opened its doors in September 2001.

The following year it started offering out-of-school care and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

Deputy nursery manager, Lorraine Ashford, who has been at the setting since the very beginning, said: “I love seeing how the nursery grows and develops each year.

“I’ve seen so many children come and go and some of them still pop back in to say hello from time to time, which is lovely.

“It’s been a jam packed and fun filled 18 years, no two days are ever the same. We’re all looking forward to many more years to come.”

Bright Kids owner Tricia Wellings, said: “This is the second setting we opened, following the success of our flagship setting in Studley.

“The nursery has gone from strength to strength over the years, repeatedly retaining its Good Ofsted rating and, through the hard work and dedication of its team, has flourished into the thriving, bustling setting that it is today."
