A MAN had to be cut free by firefighters after a car crashed into a stationary vehicle in Hunnington.

The incident – which left one vehicle on its side - happened in Bromsgrove Road at 5.50pm on Saturday. 

Firefighters from Bromsgrove and Haden Cross were alerted and managed to free the trapped man from one of the cars using cutting gear.

West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police also attended the incident.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a crash between a car and a stationary car. 

"Two ambulances attended the scene and one man was taken to hospital."

The man, who was driving the car, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital with multiple injuries which were not thought to be serious.
