CHEESE lovers can snap up some gin-inspired cheddar as Merry Hill welcomes a new pop-up artisan food kiosk.

The Chuckling Cheese Company, which specialises in alternative flavoured cheeses and accompaniments, has set up at the centre this month after wowing shoppers in 2018.

A selection of cheese flavours are of offer, including mango, orange and whisky truckle and edible-coal infused cheddar.

Gin fans can also try out ‘The Botanist Gin’ and ‘Tonic Cheddar’ which includes juniper berries for a gin kick, at the kiosk which is based on the lower mall near Neon Sheep.

Emma Colclough, director at The Chuckling Cheese Company, said: “The reception we received from customers last year was extremely welcoming and we’re really pleased to be returning to the centre for a second year in a row.

“We are looking forward to welcoming old and new faces and we hope they enjoy trying some of our exciting new ranges. We will be on hand to offer shoppers recommendations for the perfect tasty treat for themselves or loved ones in the run up to Christmas.”

Alongside cheese, the pop-up will also sell chutneys, chilli jams, pickled onions and pork scratchings along with sweet treats such as fudge bars and giant meringues.

Robert Pickersgill, marketing manager at intu Merry Hill, said: “The Chuckling Cheese Company went down a storm last year at the centre so we’re hoping its return will be sure to put a smile on the faces of our shoppers.

“We’re always on the lookout for exciting brands at the centre to engage shoppers and offer them something different. This is yet another great addition to our portfolio of independents and we’re confident it will be just as popular with shoppers this year.”
