A KIDDERMINSTER performing arts studio is now a recognised school with The Council for Dance and Musical Theatre (CDMT).

Talking Props Performing Arts Studios are celebrating after being awarded the certificate of good professional practice, demonstrating that the theatre group follows industry standards.

Schools awarded CDMT’s Recognised School Award certifies that Talking Props protect and safeguard their young stars, whether performing for leisure or during their professional career.

Talking Props has become the only performing arts school in the area to carry the professional seal of approval.

They are now affiliated with London College of Music and British Ballet Organisation to offer tuition and graded exams, along with their pre-existing ties with London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Principal Michael Neri said “I’m so pleased we now carry a CDMT award, this reassures parents and students that they are attending a professional practicing school with solid tuition, most importantly it means our safeguarding practice is excellent and children are working in a safe and secure environment.”

Talking Props recently celebrated their 5th anniversary will begin their new term this week.

On the programme for the future includes four Musicals, a performance in London, a handful of competitions, and public events in Wyre Forest starting with an Stardust Diner evening at Community Café Rees’.
