AN emergency road closure is currently in place in Chaddesley Corbett following damage caused by a burst water pipe. 

The A448 Kidderminster Road is currently closed while essential work is carried out and planned diversion routes have been signposted.

The diversion route goes through the A450 Worcester Road, A491 Stourbridge Road, to Bromsgrove, pick up the A448 Kidderminster road, which will bring drivers back to the other side of the closure at Chaddesley Corbett.

Signal Traffic Management Ltd have apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked people for their cooperation.

A spokesperson from Severn Trent said: “We’d like to say sorry to customers affected by a section of Kidderminster Road which has been temporary closed because of a burst water pipe on Friday evening.

"We’re pleased to say the pipe was repaired quickly afterwards, but unfortunately it damaged part of the road, which we’re currently working hard to return to normal as quickly as possible.

"We appreciate this is an inconvenience for our customers living and working in the area and we’re grateful for their on-going patience.”
