THE team of retired teachers who walked the length of the county have thanked everyone who supported them during their charity challenge.
Peter Lee-Smith, Tony Monks and Richard Stenton, carried out the walk to raise money for Malvern Citizens’ Advice.
Mr Lee-Smith said: “I should like to thank the Malvern Gazette and the friendly people of the Malvern Hills district for supporting my sponsored walk for Citizens Advice South Worcestershire.
“My sponsorship target for this walk was £1,000 and thanks to the generosity of friends, relatives, and people who live in our district, a total of £1,500 looks a probable outcome.
“All along the way we met smiling faces and people who really care about the future existence of a local charity which is so vital in these difficult times.”
The group’s fund raising page is still open, and can be found at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/PeterLee-Smith80notout.
