A GIRL from Worcester is walking along the Malvern Hills to raise money for the hospice that cared for her dying twin sister.

Louisa Frobisher, who is 13, is going to take on the walk in memory of her twin sister Milla, who died in 2016.

Louisa and Milla were born 16 weeks early and had to undergo operations on their eyes and hearts.

They had another older triplet sister, Jewell, who sadly died after just 17 days.

Milla was later diagnosed with severe cerebral palsy, meaning she could not talk and required 24-hour care.

Louisa, who is blind in her left eye, said: “She could not sit or talk and needed 24 hour a day care. But she was always happy and smiling. She laughed a lot and we loved her so much.

“Milla was looked after by the amazing staff at Acorns Children’s Hospice in Worcester.”

On August 19, Louisa will be walking three and a half miles along the Malvern Hills for the Acorns Children’s Hospice, who cared for Milla before she died.

She will walk from British Camp to the Worcestershire Beacon, the highest point in the Malvern Hills.

Louisa’s dad Tony is joining her on the walk alongside his wife Rini, and he said: “Losing the two girls so young was as traumatic as you would expect.

“We always knew Milla would be life-limited but we expected she would have lived a bit longer, maybe into her 20s.

“Throughout all of our 10 year challenge, Acorns have been there every step of the way.

“They gave my wife and I much needed respite and counselling when Milla passed away.

“We are looking forward to the walk and are doing some practice with a friend of ours who lives on the Malverns.

“Louise is looking forward to it and it will be great to raise some money for the Hospice.”

The family has set up a fund raising page for the walk, which can be found at justgiving.com/fundraising/louisasmalvernwalk
