A TEENAGE boy was attacked by two other boys and threatened with a knife in a Worcester park.

A mother has appealed for help to find two teenage boys after they threatened her son and his friend.

The woman, who didn’t want to be named, claims her 12-year-old son and his friend, aged 14, were riding their bikes through Gheluvelt Park before two other boys, also on bicycles, made a rude gesture towards them.

The Worcester mum claims the 14-year-old lost his glasses after he was pushed off his bike. As he was on the ground, he got kicked by one of the boys, before a worker from the park came to help.

They were then chased to Shrubbery Road, where the grandmother lives, while the boys shouted abuse: “Oi, where do you think you’re going? What do you think you are doing? We have knives you know, you know we can stab you.”

The grandmother claims she heard shouting, and as she went outside, she found her grandson’s friend lying on the ground while being held in a headlock position.

The 30-year-old mum said: “Both my mum and a passerby pulled the boy off. Even though the boy had been pulled away, he continued to use threatening and aggressive language in addition to threatening to slash and stab my son’s friend.

“The language was so profane and due to how quiet the area usually is, neighbours had come out of their homes to witness the offence.

“The boy was clearly so elevated by the situation he threatened my mum with ‘do you know who my dad is? I’m going to get him to come around here for you.’

“The continuous threats from the boys and their admissions of carrying a knife has created a knock on effect to my son and his friend. Not only does my son’s friend have visible damage to the skin of his face, but both boys do not want to leave the house in fear of a second attack.”

The woman added: “The boys now know where my parents live. It’s still a great concern they will return.”

The 14-year-old’s neck and spine are injured and the skin on his face is broken in multiple locations.

Police are investigating the attack, which happened at around 3.50pm on Wednesday, August 7.
