FOUR law firms have joined forces for a month-long will writing campaign.

During the St Richard’s Hospice Write a Will Month, the Worcestershire firms will offer residents the chance to write a single Will for £95 or a double Will for £150, with 100 per cent donated to the charity.

The firms taking part are Harrison Clark Rickerbys, Kitcat and Co Solicitors, Bradley Haynes Law and WLS Solicitors, Malvern.

The campaign aims to raise funds for the hospice and awareness of the importance of writing a Will.

Ria Simons, hospice Fundraiser, said: “We hope our campaign will encourage people to take the first step and book an appointment with one of our solicitors while helping tackle the taboos around preparing for the end-of-life.

“All the participating solicitors are giving their time for free to help support St Richard’s – we are so grateful for their generosity.”

David Kitcat, solicitor at Kitcat and Co Solicitors, said: “We have already had six bookings out of a potential limit of 20 and we’re always over-subscribed.

“We’re proud to be taking part in the scheme for the third successive year.”

Dawn Oliver, head of private client for Harrison Clark Rickerbys, said: “Our team is delighted to support St Richard’s for another year.

“It carries out marvellous work and a recent tour of the expansion project at the hospice brought home to us how effectively donations are used.”

Lizzie Bradley, director of Bradley Haynes Law, said: “We are delighted to once again participate in this scheme for St Richard’s Hospice.

“The hospice does some wonderful work in very difficult circumstances and any part we can play to help St Richard’s is very rewarding for all of our team.”

WLS Solicitors is offering appointments at its offices in Malvern, alongside a limited number of slots at the Basepoint Business Centre, Evesham, on Monday, 9 and Tuesday 17 September and Pershore Town Hall on Tuesday 3 and Monday, September 23.

Managing director Chris Morgan said: “St Richard’s Hospice provides such a valuable and essential service to the community.

“We are delighted to offer our support to this project, both to help raise funds for St Richard’s and also to raise awareness of the importance of writing a Will.”
