A LONG-established law firm in Malvern has been bought out by its next generation of solicitors.

Russell & Co Solicitors, which dates back to the 19th Century, has been bought by three existing directors: Scott Cammish, a specialist in private client law, Emma Grantham who specialises in all the areas of litigation that the firm offers and Bally Sandhu who is a specialist family law solicitor and head of that department.

Returning and becoming the fourth member of the new team of owners is Victoria Knight who was a Director at Russells before spending four years honing her business and legal skills at the Head of Knight Read Solicitors.

She is a specialist solicitor in private client law and a full member of Step and joins Scott in the private client department.

The established firm, known locally as “Russells”, dates back to the nineteenth century with its home being found in Church Street, Malvern.

A Russell & Co spokesman said: "For the last 40 years the outgoing Managing Director, Jeremy Croshaw, who has undertaken a wide range of work in his career at the firm, has seen a lot of changes since he first started at Russells as a newly qualified solicitor.

"However, he has always been proud of the fact that the familiar, welcoming character and professional approach of the firm has been a constant that clients continually say they value very highly.

"He is equally proud that he has succeeded in passing the ownership of the firm to a new team who have worked within the firm for many years and are fully committed to developing the firm in the “Russells” way."

The new team of owners has committed the firm to a long lease in their existing building at Holland House.

They have been equally quick to bring in a new group of very highly talented solicitors and lawyers to work alongside their long serving colleagues to achieve a high standard of service.

The spokesman added: "One of the best things about Russells is just how easy it is to make contact with them to discuss any issues you may need some help with and the new team are looking forward to welcoming you and helping you and the rest of the Malvern community in the years to come."
