Bretforton has been full of musical entertainment recently, because of BretFest.

After all, the celebration, which ended on Saturday, July 20, had its 21st anniversary to celebrate.

John Wood, musical director of the Bretforton Silver Band said: “There was a fantastic concert when performers Carol Hubel-Allen, Marcel Zidani and Paul Wood gave a wonderful performance in the beautiful setting of the manor ballroom; it really was a very special evening.

“There has also been a children’s party, village fete, open air songs of praise, a quarter peel, morris dancing, the final of Bret’s Got Talent and many other events during the week. These activities are all the warm up for the main event that will take place on Saturday, July 20 when the ever popular Bretforton Silver Band’s, ‘Last Night of the Proms take place in the Butty in Bretforton.

“Now in its 21st year the event attracts thousands of patriotic revellers who loaded up with their chairs and picnics gather together in the middle of Bretforton all set for an evening of family entertainment.”
