SIX new town centre flats are among the planning applications recently submitted to Redditch Town Council.

The plan is to build the new flats on a piece of unused land in West Avenue, Smallwood.

At present the land next to the SureStart Centre Sandycroft, houses a dilapidated double garage.

The new development would consist of two one bedroom flats and four two bedroom flats spread over two floors, with indoor cycle racks, an external area for bin storage and parking for eight cars.

The application will be considered by Redditch Borough Council.
