THERE’S a café on almost every corner in Worcester, so we asked our readers to recommend their favourite coffee shop in the city.

Emily Booth says Café Bolero in St Nicholas Street serves the best coffee.

Jo Lines claims Coffee #1 in Pump Street is her favourite, adding: “It’s got a lovely atmosphere, staff are friendly, and they offer a refillable teapot for free. The café is also dog friendly.”

Thomas Lloyd said: “House of Coffee by Elgar Statue. They do the best skinny frappuccino mocha in town.”

Luke Smith said: “I don’t go to chains. I like Francini Café De Columbia in town, the Pump House and the coffee shop in the Cathedral.”

Sandra Obrien Jones enjoys visiting the Viaduct Café, by the River Severn. She claims it’s her favourite place with its lovely views and great food and drink. She also likes the fact that dogs are allowed in the café.

Keeley Hughes said: “Coffee 45 - this is a lovely little coffee shop that are dog friendly and great for kids. It’s nice that I can take my nephew here so he can play with the Lego and the staff are always very welcoming.”

Wayne Price said: “House of Coffee by the Elgar Statue. The staff are ace, and they serve the best food. It’s an independent honest business. If you haven’t tried it, give it a go.”

Stuart Lane said: “Definitely Paradiddles Music Cafe Bar as it has great coffee. It has a fantastic little sun trip of a garden, as well as a licensed bar and also doubles up as a magnificent intimate live music venue.”

Natalie Jenkins said: “Foleys Café in New Road is the best. Great prices, fantastic service and a view of the cathedral you can’t see anywhere else in Worcester.”

Alison Townsend said: “Be The Change café as they have such a fabulous range of plant milk options for their coffees. The food and staff are great too. I also like Paradiddles, Commandery museum coffee shop and Waylands Yard as all have nice coffee and vegan cakes. I’ll always support independent coffee shops over the chain ones.”

Mandy Fretwell said: “The Commandery, in Sidbury, do good coffee, with a lovely outdoor seating area. There are friendly staff and I can recommend the toasties. You can just go to the coffee shop without visiting the museum if you wish.”
