KIDDERMINSTER families and film fans are invited to a free outdoor movie marathon later this month.

Three feature films will be shown on a huge outdoor screen at Brinton Park in Kidderminster on Saturday, July 27.

The movie marathon starts at 12pm with a screening of ‘Despicable Me’. At 3pm there is a Disney favourite, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (2017) and there will be dancing and singing to ‘The Greatest Showman’ from 5pm.

The free event is organised by Wyre Forest District Council, which will open at 11am on the Saturday.

Cinema-goers can pay for a selection of rides and refreshments at the event.

There will also be musical performances between each film, and a fancy dress competition with prizes in store for the best dressed.

Councillor Helen Dyke, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure and Community Protection said: “We are delighted the free outdoor cinema is returning.

"Set in Brinton Park next to the iconic bandstand this cinema experience is set to be a day to remember. I would encourage all residents to come down, relax and enjoy this movie marathon.”
