Five Guys, Cathedral Square
Popular burger chain Five Guys plans to open its first store in Worcester. The restaurant would open in a vacant unit originally earmarked for gourmet burger restaurant Byron which was due to open in 2017 when the £20 million Cathedral Square development first opened.

10-12 Pump Street
Salmon Harvester wants to convert the disused entrance of the old Lychgate Shopping Centre into a small shop. The doorway has been closed for more than 18 months and covered with metal shutters. The doorway has attracted rough sleepers in the city.

Panama Jacks, Angel Place
The landlord of the former of Panama Jacks, U Canteen and Angel Chef has asked the city council to change the use of the restaurant to make it more “flexible” for prospective tenants.

Eight homes on unkempt garden, Malvern Road
A plan to demolish an existing home and build eight new homes on a patch of unkempt garden in Malvern Road was submitted to council planners.

Domino’s Pizza, 81-83 St John’s
The popular pizza chain Domino’s plans to open a new takeaway store in St John’s. The new store would be built in the old Smoke Stack pub which had been left vacant for more than decade. An application to install ventilation equipment in the building was submitted ahead of the move.
