The ELO Experience, billed as a “sensational tribute to The Electric Light Orchestra, is coming to The Swan Theatre at Worcester, this July.

By then, perhaps, Mr Blue Sky will make us all feel rather better about this wash-out summer.

The show aims to “celebrate the great music of Jeff Lynn and The Electric Light Orchestra” and a spokesman added: “The legacy barely needs any introduction – suffice to say that between 1972 and 1986 they achieved more combined UK and US Top 40 hits than any other band on the planet!

“Evil Woman, Living Thing, Diary of Horace Wimp, Don’t Bring me Down, and, of course, Mr Blue Sky went on to become the soundtrack of our lives.”

In 2016 Jeff Lynne’s ELO came back to prominence with the release of a brand new album, Alone In The Universe, and a UK and world tour.

The spokesman added: “The ELO Experience tour will include the greatest hits from an extensive and impressive back catalogue spanning over 45 years.

The date for the diary is July 6.
