THE Birmingham-based broadcaster, Adrian Chiles will be one of the big attractions at this year’s Bewdley Festival.

He will be interviewed on stage by Gerry Foley on Tuesday, October 15.

A spokesman said: “Adrian is a much-loved local lad, highly respected nationally for his prolific broadcasting and documentary-making career. His well-known love of West Bromwich Albion keeps his feet firmly on the ground and ensures his support of the region.

“We are delighted to welcome this talented and unique broadcaster to Bewdley Festival this year and we look forward to his performance and the question and answer session that will inevitably follow.”

The spokesman added: “ Among his amazing list of achievements Chiles fronted ITV’s football coverage between 2010 and 2015, including the Champions League, Euros, two World Cups and England internationals. During this time, he also presented three series of his successful That Sunday Night Show, for ITV1. He also co- presented Daybreak with his long-time on-screen partner Christine Bleakley in 2010 and 2011 and also managed to fit in launching The One Show (BBC One), Match of the Day 2 (BBC Two), The Apprentice: You’re Fired (BBC Two) and Working Lunch (BBC Two)!

“Chiles has also presented many one-off documentaries and documentary series for the BBC including: Panorama (BBC1), Asian Millionaires (BBC Two), Working in the Dark (BBC One), So What Do You Do All Day? (BBC Two), It Beats Working (BBC One), Royal Millions (BBC One), and What Ron Said (BBC One). In August 2018, Chiles presented a BBC 2 documentary entitled Drinkers Like Me in which he admitted to previously regularly drinking in excess of 100 units of alcohol per week.” Tickets: www.bewdleyfestival.org.uk
