RESIDENTS are being urged to think about their futures and plan ahead.

Councillor Adrian Hardman and officers from adult social care will be returning to Bromsgrove Market this Friday, to talk to local people about making decisions about their future.

Cllr Hardman, cabinet member for adult social care, said: “Our summer engagement events have so far proved a great opportunity to talk to Worcestershire’s residents about staying independent for as long as possible, and the importance of discussing your wishes for future care.

"Noticing little changes in your health and activity, like struggling to cut your own toenails, is really important. These can be signs of reducing mobility and linked to ageing, so it may be the time to start thinking and planning for the future."

Social workers and colleagues from the Worcestershire Association of Carers will be available to talk about future decisions such staying in your own home or choosing to move into retirement living.

The ‘Making Decisions About Your Future' roadshows will then travel to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch on July 12, and to Tesco Extra Redditch on July 26, between 10am to 2pm.
