TRIBUTES have been paid to a young man who is believed to have taken his own life after posting a goodbye message on Facebook.

Will Evans, who worked at Worcester burger restaurant Hanbao, posted a message on Facebook which included the phrase “I’m out” on Thursday afternoon, before apparently dying by suicide soon after.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed an emergency call was made at 3.11pm, with a male “declared dead at the scene” in Beauchamp Road, Malvern.

“We were called to reports of a patient in cardiac arrest in Beauchamp Road,” said a spokesman.

“We sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer, a basics doctor and an air ambulance from Strensham.”

He said, on arrival, it was quickly realised “unfortunately, nothing could be done”.

Tributes have flooded Will’s Facebook page, with one friend, Bert Bacharach, saying: “The whole of Malvern is grieving”.

“Oh, Will, I cannot explain how devastated I am,” continued Bert. “We will remember you, I assure you of that my friend.”

Roxanne Wells said: “I'm heartbroken to hear the news.

“Will Evans, you were always such a happy lad, always had a huge smile on your face.

“You have so many people who love you. So sad to think you were in such a horrible place, that you couldn't speak to anyone,” she added.

Hannah Stimson described Will as “such a lovely person” while Fred Barber said he was “devastated” by his friend’s passing.

“You really were a 10/10 geez,” he added, “thinking deeply for all your family and friends.”

April Smith said Will had “left a lot of holes in people’s hearts, but also a lot of memories for your loved ones to hold and cherish.”

Will, understood to be in his 20s and a father, studied at Dyson Perrins CE High School before doing Music Technology at Kidderminster College.

Hanbao did not wish to comment when contacted by the Worcester News.
