WITNESSES to a fatal crash on the A449 in Cookley on Monday are urged to contact police.

The collision, which involved a motorcycle and a car, took place at about 2.15pm at the junction of Castle Road and the A449 on Monday, November 5.

A 22-year-old man - the rider of the motorbike - suffered serious injuries and, despite advanced clinical care from ambulance staff, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the woman driving the car was unhurt but shaken.

No arrests have been made in connection with the crash, but investigating officers at West Mercia Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses.

PC Dan Bate said: "Sadly a young man has died during a collision between a motorcycle and a car on Monday, November 5.

"If you saw anything that may help us with our enquiries please call us on 101."

Witnesses should quote incident number 354s to police.
