A BRAVE director of a windows and doors company will be jumping from 10,000 ft dressed as Santa to raise money for a good cause.

Lee Freeman, managing director of LFW Windows Ltd in Worcester will take on the Santa skydive on December 8 to raise money for St Richard's Hospice. Mr Freeman who has never skydived before said: "I'm nervous but excited. We have sponsored them (St Richard's Hospice) for a couple of years and and this event popped up on my Facebook."

"I have had friends looked after by them before so I know what good work they do."

Mr Freeman has so far managed to raise £900. LFW Windows Ltd are paying for his skydive and covering all the other costs for the event, so that all the money raised will go to the hospice.

The company was delighted to bag a Worcester Stands Tall giraffe at the auction on Thursday evening. The giraffe they paid £6,800 for is particulary appropriate as it's design features windows and doors all over it. Mr Freeman said: "The giraffe has got all the old Tudor buildings all over it. We were over the moon."

"Me and my wife were walking around town looking at the giraffes and spotted this one, it was ideal for us. Then to win it last night was just brilliant."

The giraffe will be placed in the company's showroom, Unit 86K, Blackpole Trading Estate West Hindlip Lane, Worcester, WR3 8TJ.
