LUDLOW Town Council would like to hear from any organisations that could use a bit of extra money.

Ludlow mayor, Councillor Tim Gill, would like to hear from local community organisations which are working in support of residents and the community because the town council could be able to offer them some financial support.

There are grants that are made available every year to organisations throughout the town.

The decisions are made taking into account a range of factors including the impact of the project and the financial circumstances of the applicant.

Presentations are made to councillors.

The town council is currently supporting 16 local organisations with grants of a total value of £36,500.

Current recipients include local arts organisations, youth groups, local festivals, organisations supporting the environment, heritage and tourism in Ludlow. The value of each individual grant is relative to the scope and needs of the organisation. They range from £250 to £15,000.

The town council will sometimes consider support for up to three years if this has a proven benefit for an organisations’ work in the town.

However, most organisations are asked to apply for funding on an annual basis. Applications can be made until 4pm on Friday, September 8.
