KINGTON Festive Food and Drink Festival is set to be the biggest ever with 90 stalls booked to sell their goods.

The 13th annual festive event will take place from 9.30am until 3pm on Saturday, December 2.

The festival is set to have a truly local feel with most of the stalls from Herefordshire, but also from Powys, Shropshire and Worcestershire, providing a huge variety of goods for shoppers and visitors.

A huge range of products will be on sale from chocolates, Christmas trees, decorations and wreaths to kitchen products and books.

There will also be seasonal food on offer including nuts, wines, artisan breads and cheeses, preserves, fudge, French festive delights, mince pies and Welsh cakes.

Plenty of street food will also be on offer to sample and take home.

The world famous Beefy Boys will be flipping their burgers, there will be wood fired pizzas from Field to Fork, steak sandwiches from Sir Ollie’s, freshly cooked falafel, freshly made scotched eggs and Japanese noodles to name just a few.

There will be plenty of events for children and Santa will be visiting Kington Library most of the morning handing out presents sponsored by Kington Lions.

Street music will keep everyone entertained as they shop, with western swing band The Poobahs, four local choirs singing Christmas carols and street musicians playing.

Over the weekend there will also be a beer trail in all the local pubs.

You can start in any of the pubs, it is only £1 to enter and you could win £50.

The festival will be spread over numerous areas this year including the Place De Marine, the Market Hall, the Coach House, Cloud Nine Gym and Spa and East Street car park.

Kington Chamber of Trade organise the free event to make it a special day in Kington to start Christmas and there will be plenty of free car parking.
