MOST jobs can normally be completed fairly quickly, but one Leominster firm is about to undertake one that could take two years to finish.

Robin James Engineers has been asked by a Russian motorcyclist to restore three classic 1935 V-twin 100cc bikes – a BSA, a AJS and a Royal Enfield – from scratch.

Robin, whose business is based in Clinton Road, has been restoring motorbikes for 34 years, but he even admits this  job will test his skills.

As previously reported the firm has had a vacancy for three years but struggled to fill it.

With this job lined up, Robin is again trying to find a new recruit.

“I need someone who knows about motorcycles and I’ve been on TV and local radio about the problem, but still I cannot fill the vacancy," he said.

“There is a tremendous shortage of people that have got the required skills I’m looking for.”
