THE second Hay Walking Festival has doubled in size.
There will be more than 50 events on offer between October 11 and 15 from Nordic walking and family forages to farm walks and long treks over the Black Mountains.
Highlights include walks which explore the botany of the Digedi valley, the archaeology of the Begwns and the geology of the Stanner rocks.
Also new for 2012 are walks that include cycling and canoeing sections. And for walkers not too exhausted by the day's exertions, there will be evening events including a ceilidh.
Tickets are on sale now. See www.haywalking.org .
