NEW faces are behind the bar of the ancient Rhydspence Inn in Whiteney-on-Wye, near Hay.
Paul and Geraldine Ashley have moved from Ilkeston in Derbyshire to run the 14th Century inn owned by Peter Glover.
The pub made headlines in 2010 when Peter, who had struggled to sell the business, applied for planning permission to turn it into a private house.
With new licencees in place, the old building will now remain as a pub and hotel.
Property agent Sidney Phillips said the couple are proposing to further develop the bar, restaurant and letting trade.
