A BIBLE once given as a wedding present to the then Princess Royal in 1858 has fetched £3,600 at a Herefordshire auction.
The book was given as a gift by her parents, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, after the Princess married Prince Frederick Wilhelm of Prussia.
The Bible, which has 18ct gold mounts engraved with the emblems of Ireland, Scotland and England, went under the hammer at Brightwells in Leominster.
