I’m a card carrying atheist however I miss the days when Sunday was sacrosanct. Here on Aylestone Hill some of my near neighbours without compunction use chainsaws, leaf blowers and any other high volume decibel machine they can lay their hands on all day on a Sunday to satisfy their craving to tame their gardens. Inconsiderate, selfish, “listen to me and to hell with everyone else". It’s time we bring in local ordinance to silence these machines and fine their peace-disturbing owners to at least give us one day a week of peace.
