A RECENT correspondent raised the issue of parking at Hereford Hospital.
There is a grim irony in the argument that we should build more car parking spaces. One of the reasons why the hospital has to deal with many patients is because of our sedentary way of life or our lack of physical exercise. Thus, walking is good for us and is part of the solution for those who can manage it.
But so is public transport.
There's a superb bus service, the 76 and 76A Bartonsham circular, which offers a half hourly circular to the hospital from the railway station and city bus station.
Less convenient than the car but still a good day time alternative for people and much better for the environment of Hereford.
