IF you want a Very Grimm night out this month, head to Ledbury.

The town’s Market Theatre will be the venue for a personal tour of Castle Grimm with The Very Grimm Brothers, otherwise known as Adrian Mealing and John Denton.

But what on earth can the audience expect?

A spokesman said: “ Adrian, John Denton and resident songstresses, SassCappella, will bring you an eclectic mix of songs from jazz to pop to originals including a few comedy numbers!

“All three have been singing all their lives and love being part of this à cappella trio which extends to some piano and guitar as well. With perfect harmonies this dynamic sassy trio make it their mission to entertain!”

But what about those Grimms?

The spokesman added: “The Very Grimm Brothers invite you to their enchanted forest and encounters with direct action, clumsy departures, the poetry of platforms, marmalade, undimmed love, sneezes and the spinning of gold from straw.

“Adrian is a Malvern Poetry Slam Champ. He sings à cappella with Men In General, A Fistful of Spookies and The Spooky Men’s Chorale (Aus). John wears several musical hats including his John Denton’s Midnight Band hat.

“It’s a very chatty, tangential gig. And Grimm John’s just bought a Martin D28 Re-imagined acoustic guitar.

“I don’t know where he finds the money,” complains Grimm Adrian.

The Grimms have made appearances alongside the Peatbog Faeries, Attila, John Hegley, Elvis McGonagall, Johnny Fluffypunk and Roger McGough.

The date for the diary is Saturday, September 28, at 7.30pm.
