SCORES of pallets are stacking up at the Hazle Meadow site for Ledbury’s Charity Firework Bonanza this Saturday, which as well as having the massive bonfire will boast not just one big firework display, but two.

At the time of going to press, the weather for this Saturday is looking far more promising for the extravaganza, after a week of changeable but seasonal weather, and big crowds are expected not only for the main bonfire event but for other attractions, including live music with the popular local band, Frontrunner, who will keep playing during the displays.

There will also be hot food, a bar, and rides with Roger’s Fun Fair.

And there will be a competition, with prizes on offer, for the best Guy.

Charities and good causes to benefit will include Ledbury Carnival, Ledbury Rotary, Ledbury Christmas Lights and the fire brigade.

Gates will open at 4pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm.

The firework displays will be at 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
