THE Club House at Eastnor Cricket Club has been targeted by vandals and thieves who caused more than £3,500 worth of damage and made off with the safe.
The club has declined to say how much was in the safe.
The incident was discovered on Wednesday morning (September 5), by which time the beer and cider taps in the bar had been left on for most of the night, flooding the floor.
Tomato sauce had been sprayed all over the kitchen area.
Mr Sandford said the smell of the beer and cider was "terrible" and he described the incident as "mindless vandalism" and "very annoying".
On Thursday morning, professional cleaners had been booked in, to clear up the mess.
Sadly, this is the second time in a matter of weeks that the Club House has been broken into.
During an earlier incident in the summer, beer and wine was taken.
This time, the intruders gained access to more of the building, breaking an service hatch and even getting into the boiler room.
Anyone with information should phone the police on the 101 number.
