POLICE are investigating a serious incident in which a car hit a 60-year-old pedestrian on the A417, just outside Ledbury.
A Mazda MX-5 Sport Convertible was travelling east along the A417 from Ledbury towards the M50 when the car hit the pedestrian, who sustained serious injuries.
An ambulance was called, and the pedestrian was taken to hospital in Birmingham.
The incident happened at around 9.30pm on Friday, August 31.
The Mazda sustained a damaged windscreen. The road was closed for a period while emergency services were at the scene.
Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 757S of August 31.
