AUCTIONEERS Clee Tompkinson and Francis report dogs to suit all needs and all pockets at Sennybridge last Saturday. Plenty of good farm dogs from £1000 to £1500 whilst the best bloodlines were keenly sought after.
Top price of 3100 gns went to Angie Blackmore for her 2 ½ year old registered dog which had won two open trials. By K McFadden's Con, it was purchased by R J Meredith from Dolgellau.
Next at 3000 gns was the young nursery prospect from David Connick. This 15 month old registered bitch was sired by D Roper's English National Champion Spot, and was a grand daughter of Robert Ellis' Mirk.
In the novice ring, the star of the show at 1600 gns went to six month old registered bitch from Michelle Thomas. Sired by Angie Driscoll's Kinlock Cade, it had a very impressive pedigree. The buyer was R Cruse of Calthrop, Berks.
Field dogs from 1200 to 3100, average £1890.
Novice dogs from 140 to 1600, average £535.
