A HEREFORDSHIRE school is planning a series of events to mark its 150th anniversary.
St Mary’s RC High School in Lugwardine wants all former pupils, parents, staff and friends to join in the celebration and to share past memories.
The planned year of activities will start with students exploring the past 150 years through drama, art and written work.
A variety performance, featuring volunteer acts from the National Eisteddfod of Wales, is to take place on June 30, while a mass from all four Roman Catholic schools in the county will be held the following day.
St Mary’s, one of the oldest RC secondary schools in the country, will open its doors on July 2, from 11am, when there will be an exhibition of archive letters, documents and photographs, alongside work of current students.
A marquee with music, food and a bar will be open in the evening. For more information about the events, call Jo Hayden on 07969 562828 or email jhayden @st-maryshigh.hereford.sch.uk
