WHEN Much Birch Primary School took on Shirley Jones as a cook it certainly turned out to be a recipe for success.
Now a lunchtime supervisor, the former kitchen worker has just celebrated 40 years of employment there, much to the delight of pupils and colleagues.
To say thank you, students presented Shirley with flowers, a card and a ticket for the Birmingham Hippodrome at their end of term Easter bonnet parade.
