THE Romans have recently been spotted close to Ludlow.
Pupils at Leintwardine Primary School have been increasing their knowledge of the former settlers during a weeklong project.
They set up a timeline and looked at historic pieces of pottery from the area.
Local historian Jo Catling helped out, along with members from the History Society of Leintwardine.
Funding for the scheme has come from various sources, including the Museums Libraries and Archives Council, the Staffordshire Partnership, Herefordbased Sylvia Short charity and Leintwardine Parish Council.
