A HEREFORD nursery is "delighted" it has been rated as outstanding for a second time in a row after its latest Ofsted inspection.

Bright Sparks Nursery received the rating after officers visited in July.

This follows another outstanding report for the early years education provider in 2014.

The nursery, based in Prospect Walk, has been providing early years care and education for more than 42 years within the Tupsley area.

Inspectors said on their visit that children are thriving within a rich, exciting and varied environment, and they have the freedom to choose from exceptional, relevant and effective learning opportunities.

The report said that children are respectful, courteous and demonstrate this exemplary behaviour when they carefully follow staff instructions.

Inspectors found that the leadership and management team work in harmony to provide a happy, joyful and safe environment for children of all ages and abilities.

They said that staff create a delightful atmosphere which provides ample learning opportunities for children using a calm and inclusive approach.

This is said to have a "tremendous" positive impact on the children's well-being.

The special needs provision that the nursery provides was also found to be exemplary.

The report said that staff use their skills and a wealth of experiences to identify children that need additional support.

It also said that staff were always looking for ways to build on their knowledge, including learning sign language to give children even more ways to earn to communicate.

Parents are said to be "overwhelmingly happy" with the setting.

They speak very highly of the friendly staff and praised them for their excellent communication and support during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bright Sparks is pleased that the education and care that it provides for its children and their families has been recognised again.
