A 15-YEAR-old musician has been selected to play with the National Youth Orchestra next month.
While Eden Lloyd was playing the clarinet at an event at Liverpool University he was picked out from other musicians to join the orchestra's tour of the Midlands in June.
Last year The Bishop of Hereford's Bluecoat School pupil was runner up in the senior section of the Woodard Schools Musician of the Year competition which was adjudicated by Julian Lloyd-Webber.
He was 14-years-old at the time, compared to the other finalists who were 17+, and Eden was personally congratulated by Lloyd-Webber who said he hopes to see Eden at Birmingham Conservatoire in the future where he would be welcome anytime.
Eden thanked his teachers, Rebecca Griffiths (clarinet), Nick Jones (clarinet grades 1 to 5), Brenda Campbell (classical and jazz) and Rhian Floyd (classical piano grades 1 to 4).
