REHAU is sponsoring Ross-on-Wye First XI Cricket Club again this season, as the team makes its debut in the Marches League Division One.

Last season, the First XI finished top of the Marches League Division Two to claim its first league title in more than 20 years and earn a place in the region's top flight for 2018.

As a major employer in Ross-on-Wye, REHAU is a keen supporter of the local community, and has sponsored the town cricket team since 2016. The funds REHAU contributes to the club pays for the repair and upkeep of the machines, such as the rollers and mowers, which are essential to the maintenance of the pitch at the Ross-on-Wye Sports Centre.

Martin Hitchin, chief executive from REHAU, said: "REHAU has been part of the community in Ross-on-Wye since 1996, and it has always been our ethos to give back to the town where we can. We were very proud to have been a sponsor of the First XI last season as they scooped the League Division Two title, and we will continue to support them throughout their new adventure in League Division One."

Founded in 1837, Ross-on-Wye Cricket Club is a flourishing local club with two senior men's Saturday teams and a senior-friendly team which plays on a Sunday.

The club also runs junior cricket teams for girls and boys, and training sessions for local cricket enthusiasts of all ages.
