LAST week the SKIP2BFIT team made a visit to St Mary's CE Primary School in Credenhill and delivered a motivating day of skipping fun.

All of the children and staff had the opportunity to take part in the skipping challenge.

The school are pleased to announce that skipping ropes are now available from the office at a cost of £5 per rope.

Staff encourage the children to write their name on their skipping ropes and bring them into school to use at break and lunchtimes. Visit skip2bfit.com for more information about the scheme.

In other news, the school recently received an illustrated book as part The Lost Words campaign (as featured in the Hereford Times and The Guardian newspapers).

The special copy of the book was donated to the school by the author Robert Macfarlane and contains enchanting poems and illustrations that celebrate the wildlife of Herefordshire.

Finally, on May 6 the Year 6 pupils attended a three day residential trip to York.

The pupils had a lovely time visiting the Yorvik Viking Centre, the children bravely completed an evening ghost walk around the city and they also managed to squeeze in a chilly visit to Scarborough Beach.

Luckily the children had their new leaver hoodies to keep them warm.
